Happy New Year to everyone. Year 2023 has ended. Just like the previous years, this will be a good time for us to reflect on the past year’s highs and lows, wins and losses and to evaluate them in a way that will help improve our overall performance in this new year. Reflecting on last year gives us not just the closure but also an appreciation of our journey thus far, so that we can grow and build upon what we have done in the coming year(s).

Let’s hope that 2024 will be another great year for me to continue to paint the beautiful canvas of our next S curve that I embarked together with you, while we continue to cultivate a sense of gratitude for all blessings and learn from the lessons 2023 brought.

In Juying Secondary School, we take pride in our culture of care and learning and we believe that every child is important; every child is unique; and every child can learn and achieve, regardless of ability and background. As we continue to achieve value-added results in the National Examinations, we have been placing equal emphasis in the character building of our JYians over the past six years. The launch of the Gratitude Movement in 2019 was a significant milestone for us as that forms a strong foundation for the building of our shared positive school culture..

Moving forward, PASSION will continue to be a strong anchor in Juying Secondary School. Leveraging our structure in building a well-integrated curriculum to enhance our student learning and staff professional development, I am confident that we will continue to grow and sharpen our saws as professionals and in turn provide a purposeful and valuable learning experience for all our JYians

With the new initiatives announced during the annual Work Plan Seminar in 2023, I am excited to embrace the changes and challenges in the coming years. Working in collaboration with my staff, students and stakeholders, I am confident that we will be able to create a vibrant and forward-looking school: the cradle where gracious life-long learners with strength of character are nurtured.

2024 will definitely be another exciting and fulfilling year for all in Juying Secondary School!
