Sha Tin Junior School was established in 1988 by the English Schools Foundation and accepts students from ages 5 to 11. The school\\\'s programme is based on the Primary Years Programme of IBO. Its mission is to provide a secure and happy environment in which children can develop their academic, social and physical potential to the fullest. The school places great importance on respect and equality amongst all groups. It encourages children to develop a positive attitude towards all aspects of their lives including their physical health, mental well-being, self-esteem and spiritual awareness.

沙田小学(Sha Tin Junior School)是英基学校协会属下学校。沙田小学与英基属下的沙田学院共享校园。校舍提供优质设施,包括游泳池,运动场,体育馆及图书馆。学校提供学额900个学位,学生来自多个不同国家。沙田小学获国际文凭组织授权开办小学课程,学生修读的是探究为本课程。沙田小学的教职员是一支既专业且对工作充满热诚的团队。同时,沙田小学开设学习支持班,为有中度学习困难的学童提供所需设施。
英基小学和幼儿园均采用国际文凭组织小学课程 (PYP),此课程专为3至12岁的学生而设,专注学生的全人发展,培养他们在课室内外都具探究精神。
中学方面,英基学校采用校本设计、广泛而平均的课程,接续综合中等教育文凭 (GCSE) 课程和普通中学教育文凭 (IGCSE)资格。学生修读不同的课程,包括英文、数学、科学、人文学科、创意及表演艺术、设计科技和一种符合学生不同程度的增补语言。启新书院和智新书院均开办国际文凭组织中学课程 (MYP)。
大学预科方面,大部分学生均会修读国际文凭课程 (IB Diploma)。英基修订各级课程,配合学习有困难的学生的需要,包括大学预科课程。我们的大学预科课程采用3组不同的课程模式,学生可按个别需要,为升学或就业选择最适合的课程。
英基个人提名权可供家长申请,以为子女获得优先面试机会。英基提名权计划(Nomination Rights Scheme)包括个人及企业提名权方案,让符合英基学校入学要求的学生优先入读

一般申请–适用于1-6年级

对于当前的所有年级,我们将在一年中的任何时候接受申请表。只有在有空缺时才进行面试。
 

ESF入学语言要求 

由于英语是教学语言,除了普通话课程外,入学面试还要确认候选人是否具有符合年龄的语言能力,可以使用英语有效学习。
 
面试是非正式和友好的,由经验丰富的小学老师进行,他们知道有些学生可能会感到紧张,需要放轻松。
 
申请一年级学生参加面试,鼓励他们用英语交流描述;讨论熟悉的家庭假期以及与同龄人互动。
 

ESF特殊教育需求 

在SJS,我们意识到孩子们以不同的方式和不同的学习速度学习。许多特殊教育需求的学生,他们仅需进行最少的教学和学习调整,可以安排在普通班级。这类特殊教育的入学申请需要通过正常的入学流程。重要的是,应该尽可能多的提供有关过去教育历史的信息。

  • What do we want students to know?

    The Primary Years Programme identifies a body of significant knowledge for all students in all cultures. Through the above transdisciplinary themes and through explicit teaching, students gain knowledge in six subject areas.     Eight fundamental concepts, expressed as key questions, propel the process of inquiry and help to encourage a transdisciplinary perspective. These concepts drive the units of inquiry which teachers and students design. The following concepts are examined Form: What is it like? Function: How does it work? Causation: Why is it like it is? Change: How is it changing? Connection: How is it connected to other things? Perspective: What are the points of view? Responsibility: What is our responsibility? Reflection: How do we know? Concepts are introduced throughout the year through the following Transdisciplinary themes.   • The Essential Elements of the Curriculum

    The curriculum is made up of 5 essential elements, each of which contribute towards the overall design of our curriculum and the learning experiences the children ultimately experience. The Learner Profile alongside the PYP attitudes: cooperation, empathy, enthusiasm, respect, integrity, tolerance, confidence, commitment, independence, appreciation, curiosity, creativity, combine to form the dispositions the PYP aims to build in their life long learners.     The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) is a transdisciplinary programme of international education designed to foster the development of the whole child. It is designed for students aged 3 to 12.
