This week in Foundation and Kindergarten 1, students explored recycling through scientific discovery. They investigated materials like tissue cores, plastic bottles, and cartons, and learnt that the green recycling symbol means an item can be recycled. These hands-on activities supported their understanding of environmental care and built early literacy skills.

This week, the Kindergarten 2 students learned about the needs of plants and how to care for them. They discovered that plants require water, sunlight, and nutrients to thrive. The children also explored how photosynthesis helps us understand the importance of these needs.

This week, our Kindergarten 3 students dove into their exciting new unit: Sharing the Planet! They kicked off their exploration of ocean life by singing a new song about sea animals and enjoyed a thrilling game of Pictionary to help them identify what animals we can find in the ocean.

Music

Last week in Early Years music was full of excitement. In Foundation Class, we enjoyed chanting songs and dancing to "Noisy Neighbours." Kindergarten 1 introduced the children to music symbols, specifically the G clef, which they creatively designed in various colours. Meanwhile, Kindergarten 2 continued making instruments from recycled materials, crafting Rattle Sleigh Shaking Bells. Throughout the music sessions, the children also danced, wiggled, and shook their bodies. Overall, it was a lively and engaging week.

上周的幼儿部音乐课充满了活力。在Foundation,我们跟着“吵闹的邻居”唱歌跳舞。K1向孩子们了解了音乐符号,特别是他们创造性地设计了各种颜色的G谱号。与此同时,K2幼儿园继续用回收材料制作乐器,制作摇铃摇铃。在整个过程中,孩子们跳舞,扭动并摇晃身体。总的来说,这是美妙的一周。
