Last week, NAIS Pudong Primary School hosted a fascinating "Vintage Artifacts Show & Tell" lecture for Year 5 and Year 6 students, aiming to deepen their appreciation for Chinese cultural heritage.

In preparation for the event, the Mandarin Department—with enthusiastic support from parents—collected student interviews about family heirlooms and vintage items. Among the treasures shared were a "Butterfly" brand sewing machine, a "Sanwu" mechanical clock, and even centuries-old coins! While researching these artifacts, students crafted thoughtful interview questions, boosting their confidence while strengthening intergenerational bonds with their elders.

Through this lecture, students not only developed a keen interest in Chinese traditions but also uncovered the cherished stories and memories behind each item. To conclude, they reflected in their own words on what "Living Legacy" truly means—making the experience both enlightening and heartfelt.
